currently hull, then brighton!
Unbelievable, been taking it easy since fitting my new exhaust manifold, but i did not expect to get to hull with just over half a tank!

average speed of about 60mph
average MPG over 40mpg, but was 44mpg at one point on the m1.
280 miles covered.

With all the mods i never expected that! hats off to the 1.8t engine.:D

280 to half a tank is good going, just before i handed the leon in for warranty turbo replacement i managed 160 miles and the needle was still over the 3/4 mark.

583 Miles...to ONE tank. Got whitnesses to prove that.

Thats driving like an absolute saint..Alot of motorway miles and cruising up the M4 doing between 55-60 mph.

If your drive the cars right, excellent MPG can be had.

I do find on mine, Sure its the same for every other leon owner...The needle doesnt move for approx the first 90-110 Miles.

100% mate...even had company to prove it, as i knew no-one would beleive me.

As i said, that is driving like a saint...and changing gear at around 2200rpm...Slowest week of my life. But it was interesting...I tried my absolute hardest to get amazing economy. What made it easier was alot of motorway driving that week. Cruising at bout 55-60 mpg means little over 2000rpm.

lol...yea mate.

That was the whole point..Dunno if you've seen the episode of top gear, where jeremy takes a v8 audi upto scotland and back on 1 tank of diesel. think it was 800 miles.

Well i saw that, and tried to see how many miles i could get using all those little tips he gave.

It wasnt an easy thing to do..as usualy when i may be interested in a play with some other cars..Theres nothing about.

That week the amount of subaru's and gt4's ect i saw was rediculous. Took some mighty will power, and i havnt got alot of that is it goes.

:)

The best mpg I've ever had on a long run in my LCR is 35.4mpg... That was just trying to stay at 70.

I've often wondered if cruise control would help with motorway economy?
