Memory Seats

Morning folks,

First of many post I'm sure but I have a question.

Just purchased a 99 plate V5 which as I'm sure you're all aware has a memory seat. I never got a user manual with the car and having previously spent all my time with Air Cooled V-Dubs I have no idea how you programme the seats..

Please help....

Cheers

I think you put the seat where you want it and then hold down the memory button until it beeps. but i'm not sure.

You do. BUT, if the battery has ever been disconnected you need to first move the seats fully up and forward with the seat back brought as close to the steering wheel as it will go. This resets the memory (you cannot make new settings without it). Ensure the red memory button is pushed in (not too easy to see when it's in or out). Move the seats and mirrors to the desired position and then press and hold the location button (1,2 or 3) until you hear the beep. You now have this position stored and you can then set other positions in other memory locations for other drivers.

To then select a memory position you just push your selected button when you open the door before you put the keys in the ignition.

Edit: Welcome to the V5 club by the way...and just a thought - have you checked that the user manual is not sitting in the special little storage place for it immediately under the steering wheel?
