metal or plastic spigot rings

As per the title which are better? Im tempted by metal (seems better than plastic) but is there any point.

If they are machined correctly then there could be an improvement in wheel centring. If it isn't well machined it could cause more problems than its worth. You have to bear in mind what material it would be made from and how it would react with the wheel inner and or hub flange. It may cause the wheel to seize on.

Im looking at the tpi aluminium ones so should be fine
