New Terramar keys

Hi all, just had our new Terramar lease car delivered and the two keys are 'tied' together by a metal ring attached to a white plastic tab thing as well as a VIN tag. See picture. Is the white tag anything? How do I separate the keys from the ring/white tab/each other?

The white tag will be from the dealership to keep the keys together on their key board if the black tag got damaged. A pair of side cutters will get it off

Cheers bud, thought it was something like that but with all this tech these days thought it best to check

Try squeezing the wires towards each other, it should release without cutting.

It'll need cutting off if it's been locked in place, that one you have looks like it has.

Throw my two pennies worth in. Would that white piece be a security scanning tag which set of an alarm if one tried to nick it / contains the ID of the keys. Suspect there is a chip in it which act as the ID for internal purposes. Can be cut off. Might even be read by the Vag mothership when setting up the keys. Set up. Can be removed.. ..

Its just a plastic tag used for marking up keys. Nothing electrical inside.
