MFD Fault

Anyone ever seen this before? appeared in my MFD today and wont go away.

My MFD does something, I will take a pic to explain. Spoke to the dealer about it and they just basically said its a lot of work to replace something like that and I think they said about the dash possibly not being flush afterwards. The service manager was reluctant to say the least.

Anyhow, the issue with mine is not a big problem. Just misses some lines, will post a pic later.

Came to the car this morning, he squiggle has grown double the length now. its there all the time.

Its a piss eay job to replace the Instrument cluster Paul. The whole silver shroud pulls off, and the the instrument cluster fit in behind that. ten minute job though. The ony issue is coding the new unit , which is a dealer job.

Just fouund out that SEAT parts have a 24 month warranty so im fine as I bought it 14months ago.

Thats a relief m8, do you have to send the old one back before you get a new one though? Will the car run with no MFD if you have to?

Mine did the same thing. Infact started in the same place and made its way to the top of the screen. I was worried that the remap had soething to do with it as it started the next day. Dealer looked at it and replaced it under warranty no questions asked. Don't let the dealer fob you off as it is quite a big job

Yes the dealer has agreed to replace it.

I wouldnt say its a big jb, takes less than 1 hour. I did it myself once before. and got the dealer to code it for half hour labour.
