I'm looking forward to the summer now! :D

Hope you had a good holiday mate. Weather has been pretty good over here while you've been gone. Typical eh!

As it happens I'm going to be placing an order for some detailing bits and pieces later this week. :D Sadly I won't be going to the U.S to get them though

Got a holiday coming up weekend after next, somewhere up nearer to you as it happens, Kipford? Slumming it in a tent, oh yes

I did thanks mate - Wish I was still away haha. Yeah I heard, hopefully it stays that way! :D
Nice, what stuff you going to get? Yeah its always a bonus, seems alot cheaper over there for stuff :)

Kippford? In Dumfries and Galloway? Still got a bit further north to Glasgow.. You should come up for the day, would only take an hour/hour and a half max :)

Nice wee detailing supply there Mick! Think i'm going to do mine this weekend (again!) as it's currently boggin' lol. I've ordered some Autoglym HD Wax as a wee treat to myself for all my hard work studying the past few days

Thanks :p I'll add that to the other stuff I've already got haha. Hows the car going? No more problems I hope! The HD wax is good, I've used that before and still have some left - Some pictures on page 1 of this RR I think :) Don't think you'll be disappointed :p

Cars going good, managing to avoid the potholes now! Hopefully it arrives before saturday so i can give the car a good wax.

I'm after some Bilberry wheel cleaner, Valet Pro high gloss tyre dressing, Bilt Hamber auto clay, another drying towel (to compliment the one I have already), and a big pack of MF cloths. Maybe some more Collinite 476S wax too.

I'll be travelling with the 'rents up to Kippford, so sadly I won't have any wheels of my own while I'm there, although I think we're heading up for a day in Glasgow anyway. :)

Not bad - Some good stuff there! I've already got 2 drying towels too, but I think they are getting a bit tired so will need to be swapped over :)

Ahh ok.. Thats crap you're not bringing your own car up. Saves putting the miles on your car I suppose :p What do you plan on doing in Glasgow? Sight seeing/shopping?

Yeah I'd enjoy a nice drive up in the Ibiza but to be honest, we can only just get 4 people + camping gear in dad's A6 saloon, so the Ibiza just wouldn't hack it haha. Though I did get 2 small integrated dishwashers in it today with the back seats down

Yeah just planning a bit of sight seeing and shopping in Glasgow, make a day of it with a nice meal somewhere too. We're going with a few friends, they're heading up in convoy in their Civic, so I'm sure we'll manage to keep occupied. :)

Well I got the chance to use some of my new products yesterday, heres the results :)

Products used were: AG Car Shampoo, Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay + Meguiars QD, Meguiars Ultimate Polish, Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Wax, Meguiars Endurance Tyre Spray, Mothers Chrome Polish and AG Glass Polish. (That's all I can remember anyway)

Black always looks so good when its been waxed, shame the same can't be said about white :( I used Autoglym HD wax at the weekend and its brilliant stuff, my rear washer is not worth using now as the water runs off before the wiper has a chance to clean ha ha.

Yeah it does, but it seems to attract dirt like a magnet too lol. I used AG HD wax before (Pictures on page 1) and I can't decide what I think looks better! I was tempted to use it again, but thought I'd try out something new :)

Haha.. maybe something stuck in the nozzle?

Just turned the EGR down via Vagcom... Lets see how it goes :)

Ah so you got the vag com to work? What does turningt the egr valve down do? I would quite like to weight up my steering a bit but need to get my vagcom working first :(

Yeah mate :) Just getting used to how to work it haha.

"Disabling the EGR stops the inlet manifold and EGR valve itself from choking up with cooked sludge, formed from hot sooty exhaust gas and oily crankcase vent vapours.

EGR is solely there to reduce NOx. It does this by reducing the peak combustion temperature, how hot it gets when the charge is burned in the cylinder. Under some circumstances the charge gets hot enough to burn the nitrogen in the air into nitrogen oxides, NOx. Exhaust gas is introduced as the only convenient *inert gas* to reduce the amount of oxygen in the charge which reduces the combustion temperature (and also results in inefficient combustion, increasing the other pollutant from diesel engines, soot)

(VAG-com can be used to turn the EGR down to less than 10%, which is nearly as good as blanking it off.)"

Copied from Muttley, back in 2009. Thats the best description I could find(make up) haha.

I could give you a hand if you wanted, but I've no idea how to do it just now
