Are'nt they there for a reason though lol, to let air into the climate unit? or a interior temp sensor?

The right hand one is a blank. The left hand one was full of fluff. You may well be right. It might be the sensor for when u put the heating on auto. I'm just quite fussy and there's no neat way of doing it other than going over it. If I notice any problems, I'll poke some pin holes in it

Nice, how did you get round the grilles at each side of the climate buttons? Thinking of doing mine in white carbon fibre.

If it's anything like mine, he went over the top of those vents

Mick - you need to do the next part down too. It just pulls off

Kinda... I made a few small holes with the craft knife to allow some air in, but you can hardly see them so it looks like I've just gone over it :) Plus on the right side (I think) the holes don't go right through.. Its just to make it look nice :p

I was going to do that bit... but I ran out of wrap. I've got a little bit left but not big enough for that

I might do that then. I only wrapped mine today so it's in the living room and hasn't caused any problems yet

That's just typical lol

Just stick a few pin holes in it as you said and you should be fine :) Aslong as the air can circulate then it should be fine. I was going to go right over it until I thought they could be for something

Car is looking well mate, very similar to mine, even rainsports on it!lol Could you send me the codes to turn down the egr valve with the vag-com? Cheers :)

Nice car mate, just put a deposit on one like this. Can't wait to get it next week!

Thanks mate :)

With a lot of patience

Pull out the cubby hole under the radio (No screws or that)
Get headunit out
4 screws either side where the headunit and cubby hole where.
Pull the bottom cover off below the climate control
2 screws underneath into the climate control
Should pull out now if I remember.
More screws on the back of the centre console to seperate the climate and hazard switch bits.

That's from memory, but close enough I think! :)

Mine has one extra screw behind the radio, just to the right of the cup holder. Almost going vertical

Long time since I've updated this!

No changes to update, apart from increasing the idle revs with Vagcom to stop the engine shudder :)

A could be doing with that adjustment:rolleyes:

Still no got my EGR sorted either need to get my finger oot and get fully vag-com lol
