[:@] right ive had a **** evening so im going to have a bit of a rant on here...

Sold a amp and speakers via bay, agreed to meet the buyer as a sweetener to the deal (he saw the gear on ebay but i withdrew it and he brought it privately), drove all the way to reading from cardiff tonight only for the seller to say "its not the right amp" and for me to realise i took the wrong ****ing one  On the way down the car wouldnt boost over 5psi and feels like its gone back to standard instead of the REVO remap i had the day before yesterday! Ive got a horrible feeling Grant has uploaded the 5 hour free trial code in error as he was really busy and may not of noticed

Anyways he paid me for the speakers so wasnt all bad, then on the way home my engine electric check light lliuminated on the dash, didnt affect the performance of the car on the way so im hoping its just the MAF

Also is the full revo code more powerful than the trial as this could explain why my car has only been spiking at 17-18psi and then settling to 15psi...?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LOL

you have a problem with your car if it's 5psi'ing - that's limp mode.

it might be the MAF too - it sounds similar to a car I saw today.

lol cheers guys, update for you all, just popped down the chip shop (first meal today lol) and the cars boosting again but only upto 15psi not 20-22psi. Warning light is still illuminated so Grant must of put the right software on, what could of caused the limp mode? can anyone give me the diffinative answer as to what actually happens when the MAF breaks? less boost? limp mode? poor economy? what exactly!!

Ive texted the guy and im hoping hes going to let me post it to him, it probably would of been cheaper to do this in the first place and i wish i had now but there you go!

Hopefully the fault flagged is the cause of your low boost, easier to narrow down. Could be so many different things.
My maf was reading 95g/s max and the car just felt a bit slugish. Didnt affect boost only thing I did have was a ' running lean' fault flag up once.

My MAF sensors gone (tested by swapping with someone else and light goes off) and only thing i notice is less mpg. Seems it's sending more fuel to air mix so overfuelling.

Still boosts to 21psi, still goes ok just the annoying Yellow light (god i need £98 for a new one!)

check ebay first turbo_ZR, they are available brand new on there for approximately £45ish! Looks like i need to get it looked at asap then, boost is still here on the way to work this morning but its still to low in my opinion...im so confused!

MORK wouldnt limp mode be no boost at all? the reason i say that is if the car was standard and there was a problem and limp mode was activated it wouldnt be any different to standard boost!

p.s i found the trial to be slightly more aggressive than the full code

Flash, I thought that too! So I aint going mad! Though I put it down to being used to the full code where as the trial is just madness compared with what is on offer beforehand.

Yes seen some on ebay for £48 so leads me to believe SEAT is using the standard 100% mark-up. But they're going to fit on my service and i just want the satisfaction on knowing it's working rather than going VIA ebay to only get sent a broken one or something

Dont touch the MAF's on ebay. There was a thread on here a few weeks back and a few of us has bought them, and all failed.

ok cheers simon i appreciate the heads up, i used to work with one of the boys who now works in GSF in cardiff so i'll see if he can sort me out a tidy price if it is the MAF at fault

Bit of a update too, just jumped into my car after work, not in limp mode, the car is boosting but still not to its full potential but the check electrics light is now off, im guessing the car will of stored the fault code though yeah? lol all fun and games!
