Its a 2001 car and warranty is long gone. :D Was only a broken wire so only needed a good soldering and some heatshrink.

Anyway - back to Millers. I'm now back in testing mode after getting my power back. Shall report back. Seeing closer to 50mpg averages recently though, but that could be due to the change of commute. :)

Good news. I'm still well impressed with the power figures.

What sort of torque is it giving?

cheers, Craig

Depending on where you believe the rollers it's put out 350 / 355 / 360 lb/ft on three different rollers. I seem to find occasional varying bhp from 216-223, but torque always seems spot on. Interpro next to see what they make of it. Shall continue with the Millers stuff for then, and round Castle Combe on the 22nd. [B)]

Initial results with the Millers are looking good.

Only done about 170 miles yet so figures might settle as I use more of the tankful.

But the "Trip[2]" figure on the computer seems to be settling round the 47.5mpg mark, compared to the 45.5mpg I normally get - and I'm driving the same routes in the same style etc etc.

If it stays round this figure, I've got a ~2mpg increase, will have to work out whether that breaks even with the extra Millers cost, or maybe even saves money...

could just the change in weather... you need to stop using it again for a bit and compare again.

Lee, you're saving about 4p per litre, that's about £2.20 saved over a 12-gallon tankful :)

How's the big green barge driving? Going any better since the vac line swap?

12 gallon tankful needs 2 measures of the millers - I think 1 measure is 25ml, and is meant to be 1 ml per litre of diesel (1000:1) - How much is a bottle of MIllers? I think I got mine at Trax last year and paid a "special rate" of £5. I think that was for 500ml so if you save £2 (rounded down for maths) on a 50 litre fill-up, then you get 10 fill-ups in a bottle of power-plus,£20 saving. I assume even RRP isn't gonna be £20. [B)]

So even if my average MPG settles down to only 1mpg improvement, it'll pay for itself...think I paid £6.99 for my last bottle.

Craig -> The only thing I've noticed since changing most of the vacuum hoses is that I can hear the turbo start to whine even with the slightest blip of throttle, which I couldn't before. So I reckon the VNT actuator is responding a bit quicker. I've still got the hiss I described before, and it's not the N18 body like we discussed because I blocked the vac supply pipe to it last night - and it's still hissing. Maybe it's connected to the N75 somehow... But certainly seems to be driving OK. Apart from blind, deaf bints in Volvos trying to force me off the road :)

Ultima vis Millers (500ltr)+ supermarket fuel cost if the if the price does not go above 99p its is still cheaper than Ultima. I don't know what the Cetane up lift is if you use Ultima + millers (3-5 points) if that will give you even more performance - need a dyno check on that though.
For petrol head there's a "Millers CVL Turbo" - ideal for race days etc. .................

You could be right, thinking back we've not had any frosty days since I refilled and put the Millers in. Needs a bit more time to settle, and then a tankful without again, to be sure...

Well - I'm getting rather scary increases in economy at the moment. For the first time ever I averaged 55mpg+ on a 100 mile trip yesterday, and even on the very spirited drive back within "speed limits" it did 46mpg.... I'm seeing my long term MFA2 mpg readout going up all the time. Its been around 42.5mpg for most of the winter, but has gone over 45mpg for the last couple of thou' and I suspect will go even higher.

I've not changed my driving style so can only really put it down to using millers. Its now done about 1000 miles in total, so my MFA2 won't start reading long term mpg for millers use for another thou' or so.

I'm using it too but I think the weather (generally warmer temps) may have had some effect too? My average is typically 46-47 summer but 42-43 winter. I know it's not exactly tropical out but I guess being over 10 degrees allows the engine to warm up quicker and maybe even do more exciting technical stuff I know nothing about like alter fuelling.

Mine has gone up, but as said above I think it's at least partially due to the general increase in temperatures which always improves MPG on these engines.

In addition, I haven't been using headlights, screen heaters, heated seats etc as much over the last week or two either, all of which put extra load on the alternator and would contribute to lower mpg.

Fairy ****. :D Its just instead of 45mpg I've been seeing 55.... Its a little disconcerting, in a good way.

My MFA2 readout will be hammered on Saturday anyway - 15 minutes of tracktime should knock a bit of mpg off that. :D Hoping my average for the quarter hour will be nicely under 20mpg.

I spent all last week driving with Millers in, and yesterday filled up with nothing but Morrison's finest. And guess what, my mpg today is the best yet !

The car does feel noticeably perkier in the mid range now, I wonder if the Millers has given the injectors a bit of a clean, they probably needed it after 95k miles....
I can definitely tell the engine is noisier without it in again, and also smokier.
