Although Cobra is louder than Milltek.
Resonated is louder than OEM, but as I heard correctly from a m8 of mine. You will only hear it when flooring it. Cruising is (very) quiet, exactly as he wanted it.
Do you have a stock downpipe + kat? If so, these dampen the sound a lot. Switching to bigger dp + sportcat will give more exhaust note.

Im running stock cat and downpipe at min mate.
I want a resonated one due to the fact i have a 4 month old daughter so like her to sleep in there instead of being grumpy, tired and awake
Also the misses uses it more than i do and she doesnt want anything loud

Fo sheezy, go for the Milltek if you need to transport a little one. Cobra will be to loud for sure.
I had a full cobra system non res and it was to loud for me, i had a silencer fitted and it was still too loud. So I went and bought a milltek non resonated full turbo back. It's quiet and I'm glad I didn't go with the resonated system. When booting it you get a bit of noise but I wouldn't class it as loud what so ever. When cruising along and driving normally you can't hear it. Inside it's literally wind and engine noise.
If I was you I would go for the non resonated especially if you have the standard cat and downpipe as a resonated would be quieter than standard IMHO

How long have you had yours on Brad? They get louder as they bed in. Mines louder when its hot I can definetly hear it its not stupid loud but I know its there.
It's been on there over a month now. With the windows shut and driving along I can't hear anything. Even on the motorway it's silent. Outside you get a bit of noise but not excessive at all like the cobra. I could barely hear people talking to me inside the car when driving. A mate of mine has a LCR and his just decatted his standard system. IMHO outside his is louder than mine
My Leon cupra r has a decat and a non resonated miltek system (just a back box) on tickover when it's cold it a bit loud, once warmed it's fine. I think it quite a quiet system personally and the back box must be doing a very good job. With the windows down you can hear it a bit but at motorway speeds it's very easy to live with. I have an induction kit fitted to the car and that's all I can really hear most of the time. I've had loads of n/a cars with various exhaust systems so when I heard that mine (just bought it) had no cat and one silencer I thought it would of been really loud. It's not what I was expecting. Very easy to live with. This is my opinion of my car and I'm sure different people will have different views.

Being able to live with an exhaust at motorway speed is the main thing. in my younger days i had a 106 and it would make your ears bleed lol. Im hoping it's gonna be abit louder when decatted and the downpipes on. Miltek do give good power gains though.
I have a turbo back Milltek resonated with sports cat and I thought it was substantially louder than stock. Not offensive in any way just a lot fruitier note.

What price has fellow members been paying for the cobra non resonated cat back system ? Have gone to custom exhaust places and they want quite abit !!
