Milltek on Leon fr+

Hi chaps,

I've got a Mk1 Leon fr+ with the Cupra R bumpers and I'm trying to fit a Milltek full system.

The system I have is listed for Cupra and FR tdi but there's know way it's going to fit without looking terrible.

Everything lines up and goes together perfect but the back box sits about 2 inches in from the recess.

As far as I know, the standard exhausts for the Cupra and Fr+ are the same so the recess should be in the same place but something's a miss. Either the the Cupra R bumper fitted to the Fr's are different to the Cupra/normal fr bumper or the exhaust is wrong but I have the receipt for it and it all matches up.

Any help on this would be great?

Did you have the OEM twin pipes before? I know the GT80 pipes on the Milltek don't protrude as far as the originals.

Have you got a photo?

It is the GT80 that I have but surely they should fit better than it does!

Took a couple of pictures which show it's clearly a good 2-3 inch short.





Even with everything stretched back as far as it will go it's still well short.

I think it looks fine mate, I'm getting the exact one fitted on Friday at AMD Tuning plus getting a remap also, I'm changing the down pipe also so I have a whole new system, I don't think it's a problem mate better in than out I'd say lol

No idea mate. Took it straight off because it looks awful! Needs to come out atleast an inch past the recess to look good.

I'm going to get on to Milltek tomorrow and ask them, also the place that supplied it.

Paying £500 for an exhaust, it's shouldn't be fitting like that!

We're did you buy it from as its only £380 from AMD

It's £500 ish with the Decat pipe. £380 will be cat back.

Yeh thought so, didn't want the decat as I want to pass an mot lol, hope you get it sorted, I have the twin pipes already so hopefully mines is ok, if not I'll live with it, it's not gonna make a noise difference being tucked away.

Also the Cupra r bumpers are meant for the oval exhaust the FR & R bumpers are totally different, different in size bulk and length, maybe you need the oval exhaust

I replaced my cupra TDI bumper with a cupra r and the standard twin pipes didn't sit correctly. Bought a length of pipe and an oval tip and had it welded on to fit in place of the original box. Looks and sounds mint!
