Hi all,

i was wondering whos got miltek system on there mk1 cupra? How loud is it, performance etc?not wanting a loud system, more performance side. Also would it be better to have it installed when i get my car revo'd? Car currently has carbonio and forge dv.

thanks.

Miltek is a good quality system and it's very popular choice for all 1.8T cars...

I don't have one myself - But from what everyone says - They are not too loud. i.e. they make a nice sound when you nail it - But it doesn't make the 'Boy Racer' racket....

HTH

Does anyone know if milltek do an oval (LCR style) tailpipe for the LC, I know they do the twin round which looks similar to the OEM one, just would prefer the LCR look!!

Cheers.

Blue Flame do a 6x4 oval
Not sure how they are rated so a little research may be needed

Have ya looked at Magnex?

They also make very good quality exhaust systems!

Anyone who's ever fitted a Magnex, will know that they are pukka!

I had the miltek cat back for about 10 months and the sound was great not to loud inside the car until u boot it but now ive had the downpipe and cat its louder and realy helps with performance :D

No they don't (at least not when i came to buy mine).

Try Supersprint (www.supersprint.com) - I have a Supersprint cat-back mated to a Milltek Sports cat/downpipe combo.

Very, VERY well made IMO - not too loud, but looks the nuts and gives a nice grumble when you floor it :D

Hi all,

How loud is it,
Not very, quite OE until your booting it, then it becomes a bit more sonorous. A bit boomy on the motorway but may just be the race cats that cause that

performance etc?

Removes some of the restriction, but unless you also change the DP then you still have a bottle neck in the system

Every little helps, but whether the car is Revo'd or not will not make a major impact. As remaps are generic, unless you go for a stage 2 (which will stipulate an exhaust) the map won't make allowance for it.

I went for a BF instead of a Milltek for cost and the fact that for £520 you get the DP and the Cat, performance wise I got an extra 15 bhp and it feels like it revs a lot more freely, IMO it sounds amazing, a little louder than OEM on normal driving but when you put your foot down it sounds fantastic, it also has a nice burble on tick over, sounds like a tiger rarrrrr:p
