Ive been getting this problem for a while now... epc + oil pressure light.
My car has had a new engine and new injectors plus whatever minor parts they have put in to try and solve the problem but still I have these lights come on and a lack of power, I got given my car by my dad for passing my test in july yet the car has been in 4 to 5 times now for a total of around 3 weeks. Recently there has been a smell of petrol inside the car when idling too through the air con and we have been to trading standards about these problems and the way we have been treated. Seat said they are not willing to accept the car back for these problems but the GM of Arnold Clark seat has spoke to my dad and he says he is personally going to see my car gets fixed once and for all, so if i find out what is wrong then ill post it on here to help you guys also the last time the car went in for 3 days for god knows what it came back out with an extra 200 miles on the clock and a recaro baby seat in the back, the second time the car broke down on the motorway (which was when i was on my way home from picking it up from the garage and they had supposedly fixed these problems) they came to collect me and the car, they then took me back to the garage to which they told me to make my own way home which is 30mins away and no courtesy car because im 17, it is a disgrace the way you are treated, im sorry to hear about your problems with seat and i hope they getsorted out!!!!!!

Hope your car gets sorted mate! I remember i got a courtesy car from VW when i was only 19 or 20, of course the person didn't say i have to be over 21 but they just gave me anyway.
cheers mate, i was told i had to be 21 even though my insurers told seat that they would cover me but still i wasnt allowed
tbh you could be right hahathat sucks then. Now a days dealers normally have their own insurance to cover you for a day with their courtesy car. Guess the dealer doesn't like you! jokes LOL![]()
Hello mate
been reading your story and feel for you mate really do.
I went through a similar thing , have a search for all my posts.
SEAT are totally crap when it comes to customer service.
my adive to you would be to speak to the motor onbudsman about the garage in question , they will send you a form to fill out and will take your case up on your behalf.
Tried the local onbudsman and they told me they only deal with council disputes
I got a letter back from my dealer, reading it has just infuriated me even more. and they still aren't offering any compensation as they have already made a loss on the car. part of the letter stated they needed to drain the fuel tanks on a number of occasions to carry out work on the car and they put the fuel back as a good will gesture LOL, what a bunch of
Should be getting my boc back today off the new garage to use until the fr comes. I'm nervous of using the one they supplied as the insurance excess is £1000.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the most recent cause of missfire was apparently a kink in the fuel line (my new garage are saying seat are unlikley to help because the recent issues are caused my the dealer, Wich I might add is a SEAT approved service centre!)..... I wonder how that got there, poor workmanship I think.
