That is disgusting and disgusting customer service! How they can give the car back to you like that is unreal. A giant gaping hole in the grille and a bit of poultry to go along with it. Thats horrible.

Aswell as the 300+ miles, i would be seriously pissed!

I would love to name the garage now to warn other people from using them as a dealer, but I need to wait until any legal proceedings have finished. I also have the intention of going to the press/what car or through some other form to get this published, my whole experience with this garage has been outrageous.

They claim they can do what they think is necessary in terms of testing the car to make sure its working, I think thats bull**** but we'll see what happens. Apparently they havent replaced the new engine they are now claiming its a "twisted fuel line" I can no longer believe anything they tell me as being true.

They also weren't going to inform me that tha car had been involved in an accident, Surely I have a right to know? Its only by chance that I found out by going down yesterday. Will keep you updated.

Keep us posted mate, lean on them. they will realise there is some serious **** coming their way and hopefully pull their finger and get stuff sorted and some form of compensation.

Been in touch with Seat UK and basically they aren't interested in helping me/offering advice, and that is their final stance on the matter. The contract of sale is between me and the garage.

I'm currently exploring other routes like Citizens advice etc to see what their opinion is.

It looks like my only option may be to go down the legal route. Has anybody had any experience with this sort of thing/know any good firms they would recommend. I'm thinking a no win no fee firm would be best to stop this costing me a fotune.

Get in touch with trading standards and they will advise you of what to do. I'd be looking to reject the car due to it's inherent faults. Trading standards will also take the garage to task
Speak to your local papers as well

my adive to you would be to speak to the motor onbudsman about the garage in question , they will send you a form to fill out and will take your case up on your behalf.

Ive been getting this problem for a while now... epc + oil pressure light.
My car has had a new engine and new injectors plus whatever minor parts they have put in to try and solve the problem but still I have these lights come on and a lack of power, I got given my car by my dad for passing my test in july yet the car has been in 4 to 5 times now for a total of around 3 weeks. Recently there has been a smell of petrol inside the car when idling too through the air con and we have been to trading standards about these problems and the way we have been treated. Seat said they are not willing to accept the car back for these problems but the GM of Arnold Clark seat has spoke to my dad and he says he is personally going to see my car gets fixed once and for all, so if i find out what is wrong then ill post it on here to help you guys also the last time the car went in for 3 days for god knows what it came back out with an extra 200 miles on the clock and a recaro baby seat in the back, the second time the car broke down on the motorway (which was when i was on my way home from picking it up from the garage and they had supposedly fixed these problems) they came to collect me and the car, they then took me back to the garage to which they told me to make my own way home which is 30mins away and no courtesy car because im 17, it is a disgrace the way you are treated, im sorry to hear about your problems with seat and i hope they get :censored: sorted out!!!!!! i also forgot to add that Seat replaced part of my bumper but did not own up to doing anything, i also found masking tape inside my passenger wheel arch which according to my uncle (panel beater and sprayer) suggests that it has been resprayed before [:@]

that sucks then. Now a days dealers normally have their own insurance to cover you for a day with their courtesy car. Guess the dealer doesn't like you! jokes LOL :)

Wow just wow!

Naming the dealer you bought a car from shouldn't affect your case as your stating a fact. This is truly insane, feel for you mate I really do!

Seat head off poor show as well IMO. I'm going VW or Audi next time.

As much as I enjoyed the Seat Sex Drive I went on, perhaps they should spend some of the money that must have cost on improving their after sales service!

Tried the local onbudsman and they told me they only deal with council disputes :(

I got a letter back from my dealer, reading it has just infuriated me even more. and they still aren't offering any compensation as they have already made a loss on the car. part of the letter stated they needed to drain the fuel tanks on a number of occasions to carry out work on the car and they put the fuel back as a good will gesture LOL, what a bunch of :censored:

Should be getting my boc back today off the new garage to use until the fr comes. I'm nervous of using the one they supplied as the insurance excess is £1000.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the most recent cause of missfire was apparently a kink in the fuel line (my new garage are saying seat are unlikley to help because the recent issues are caused my the dealer, Wich I might add is a SEAT approved service centre!)..... I wonder how that got there, poor workmanship I think.

This is truly shocking, the wild life in the body work would have been the last straw, plus the misuse of your vehicle, my god I would be looking to tear a new bumhole in someone. 300 miles of "testing" hello dont think so.

Might get mine back next week or the week after, got the RS and the bus so not too woried at present.
