Had a service last week and the garage said i had a missing caliper bolt on the passenger side, but they had managed to 'secure it' , so now i need to replace this bolt, but do i need to replace anything else? i mean it must of come off for a reason. with it being the brakes im concerned !

I would stop driving until you find out how they secured it.
My guess is that the bolts have been re-used without new threadlock being applied.
Get new bolts with the correct threadlock.
I guess it depends what bolt was missing.
There are two bolts that hold the carrier on to the hub
There are two bolts that hold the slider pins on to the caliper ( You get new ones of these in brake pad kits )
Both types should be replaced rather than re-used.
If the thread has stripped on the carrier bolts - you will need a new carrier.
if the thread has stripped in the slider - you will need new sliders.
THE CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN LET BACK OUT OF THE GARAGE WITH BODGED BRAKES !!!!!!!!

Its the one that holds the caliper to the hub, I want to order all the parts today, dont care of cost, need safe brakes

Speak to the garage and ask them EXACTLY what the problem is.
There are three options I am guessing :
1. The BOLT has stripped it's threads ( order new bolts )
2. The BOLT head hexagon is stuffed up ( order new bolts )
3. The thread in the carrier is stripped ( get a new carrier - I would suggest a breakers cos OEM are silly money ) and ( order new bolts )
I think you may find that the 1.4TDi has the carrier built in to the hub.
I guess that the knackered bolt is one that goes in to the slides.
If that is the case i would order up a couple of slides with new bolts for both calipers and have the jobe done properly.
i was just told it was the bolt going from the caliper to the hub that was missing, and i just needed the bolt, but looks like a need the sliders (is that the carrier?) like you say

do you know what calipers are on the 1.4tdi 02> The only thing I can see on my calipers is: FS III

Had a look at the haynes manual for the ibiza - The FSIII calipers dont have a separate carrier - the carrier is built in to the hub.
What you need are the bolts that go through the slides that hold the caliper on to the hub.
Just make sure some arse hasn't stripped the threads in the hub when changing the pads.
The torque is only 21 ft/lbs.
That is correct, the FSIII front brakes have two guide bolts that keep the calliper on its mount and the mount is bolted directly to the stub axle/hub assemly with two bolts that have been known to destroy their threads. I'd guess that your garage has taken that bolt up to the next size by opening up the hole and retapping it. That in its self might be a good enough repair, but I don't know how much "meat" there will now be round that fixing hole.
