Mk 3 auto gearbox and steering

My mk 3 Leon semi auto gearbox sometimes hangs in first gear and will not change up automatically I have to use the paddle, when I first took delivery 4weeks ago it was OK. Also, sometimes the steering turns itself when manoeuvreing and pulls my hand down to the right. I have tried all driving modes to no avail. Before I return it to the dealer has any one had experience of these peculiarities. Any advice would be appreciated. Aggie

That sounds like a definite dealer visit... Clearly something amiss there. Sounds dangerous if you are loosing steering control.

The steering problem happens when I am stationery and in reverse it tries to steer itself unless I hold on to the wheel but not every time. It never happens when I am on the road? aggie
