Where's the best place to buy one of these? I have looked on the net and seen various different prices, want to make sure i get the right one and just wondering what kind of price i should be paying for one.

I took it off and went up in the misses car......its not hard to remove tho

So do they give you a certain amount of time without adding the surcharge? I thought most places add this on automatically, then refund you once you bring the old part back?

I had a problem with my MAF a few weeks back, the garage cleaned it up and its running ok. It does seem however to be idling a little rough when stationary.

Is this down to the MAF does anyone know? If so i am planning on replacing it within the next 2 weeks or so anyway.

Why don't you just spend 5 mins taking it off in the carpark then you won't pay any surcharge?

Yeah, thats what i mean. Change it in the car park to avoid the surcharge. Just thought the surcharge was an automatic thing that gets added on whether you want it to or not.

Wanna get this changed as my lc has been a bit spluttery for a while now, thought it was related to the dump valve, but changed that and its still occuring. Then the other day, the traction control light came on and stayed on, but didn't on the next startup. After reading on here, it looks like they're connected in some way, so hopefully a new maf will clear up these small niggles

hi guys, i think this is the right thread for what i think is wrong with my car.
i have a seat leon 1.6 mk1, sometimes it takes a while to start in the cold, when it does, it cuts out, sometimes when im turning the steering. when its warm it tends to be ok but has cut out once or twice.

also, the rev counter is always going up and down from 800rpm to 1500rpm, cold or warm engine.

could anyone recommend whats wrong with this? does the MAF need cleaning or replacing? i havent a clue!
