MK1 Leon 1.4 Throttle Body Location?

Hey,

I'm currently sat in my girlfriends leon 1.4 and pollution light is on dash.

VAG-COM has two error codes;

17987 - Throttle Actuator (J338): Adaptation Not Started
P1579 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17967 - Throttle Valve Control part (J338): Fault in basic

settings
P1559 - 35-00 - -




I cleared and 17967 - Throttle Valve Control part (J338): Fault in basic keeps coming back.


Any ideas what to do? Do I need to do a throttle body adaptation on this? If so, I can't because when I try the proceedure it says error in 4th box under group 060.


Any help?

If there's errors when trying to reset the throttle body maybe the throttle body is gone. Check with a garage?

into 01 engine, 12 basic settings, block 60, activate yeh?

Check the fuses for it mate. Disconnect the battery then try to carry out basic settings again - use 060 and 074.

Does it have a cable for the throttle or is it drive by wire? They have different adaptation procedures iirc.

Sounds like it needs removing from the car and cleaning out with air intake cleaning, its located under the air box and has 4 torques bolts holding it down, clean and refit then do a tba i think its group 98 on the 1.4's
