now then i have searched everywhere for a seat with a honda vtec engine. so far i cant find one. i need to glean as much info as i can so any that may be relervant is welcome. my first move is gona be to take her back to shell only. if i can get their four wheel steering as well, anyone that knows vtec will know just what im gona acheive. once i get the project done i also intend adding a supercharger. four wheel steerimg is not a nessesity but i will go with four wheel drive to help put all that power down. this project is gona be fasinateing so any input is welcome. oh 2.2 vetec is the lump were of to drop in. the lump i have is running 213bhp. at the mo its minus the supercharger. its not tuned or chiped either, im hoping i can hit 300+ bhp. dont expect an over night thing but watch this space.

thanks for the link, im lucky my best mate has just finished his college, body work beeing his thing. its definately a project ill keep a good record with photos etc. im led to beleive mine will be the first ever ibiza vtec. thats my motivation. ive seen vtec 2.2's go from 200bhp to 500bhp. another reason. the four wheel steering is ambitious but what a car. ill keep scamaticks for anyone who fancys following in my foot steps. the civic range should give me the internals ill need or ill go custom, depends how costly it gets the misus whats me to stick to a couple of g's. but what she doesnt know. at the mo its wasted on a 1.4, the car can be so much more.

save the cash on the 4WS as you are running something pretty much unique a well setup 2ws designed from scratch will be easier/cheaper and probably more reliable

spend the extra on a bigger charger :):)

Telford ay it...
Nice project. Theres a corrado project on clubgti (IIRC) thats having a civic type R lump.

4 wheel steer sounds extreme, thought it was a cack system anyway? Think about keeping it FWD too, good diff and some decent suspension components and you laughing.

A lot of the stock car guys run vetec lumps, mnotly 1.6 engines though due to the track sizes up here.

They fit into corsas easily enough, so the ibiza shouldn't be a problem,.

1st time i have heard of 4ws
