Glad you've loved having the matt black stealth bomber Scott - brilliant write-up and loved all the pics.

Phil Harris - that probably would have been me you saw near Milton Keynes; I was driving around in this LCR for a couple of weeks. I know it's a bit sad, but I loved the attention it attracted!

We considered putting some black alloys on it, but didn't. In reality, I reckon the silver alloys give some visual relief.

I'm glad that CreativeFX approached us to try out this wrap - shows you guys what is possible. Thanks to Sean!

Cheers, Mike

I have thanks Mike. The wife describes it as the bat mobile. :)

It just needs the flames coming out of the exhaust to complete the look. [B)]

I'll be sorry to see it go on Wednesday for sure. It certainly does get a lot of attention!

Cheers,

Scott

Back to using the plain old silver one again!! Bet that's what your telling the wife!!

LOL. Yes indeed :D

Can you give us your thoughts on the XDS and how well it performs etc?

I can't say I've driven it hard enough to find out. As it's not mine and kindly on loan from SEAT I haven't been going mental with it.

It certainly feels smoother when cornering than my car, less crashy (not that mine's bad in any way).

We probably pushed the car harder when we did our first road test, again kindly courtesy of SEAT PR once again. If you've not read it already, probably worth having a gander at our views there - link in the first post of this thread.

Syphon,

Just a quick question....and really only a one word answer required. All things considered....do you think its worth the premium over the Cupra if you were buying new?

If I was buying new, yes I would be finding a way to pay the extra for the R, no question. However I am a complete SEAT nut (on my 9th) so I may be slightliy biased. ;)

I'm currently seeing if the family would reach a reasonable price on e-bay so I can afford to upgrade.

Thanks for that buddy. Good to know.

I had ordered one 2 weeks ago, but through a broker called car-finance.net and they seem to of screwed it up somewhat, so im having to start again. So far looks like Seat in Swindon are coming back with the best deal so will probably order from them tommorow.

My limited experience with XDS is that all it does is cut power when you really want it. Almost as if you get 25% throttle when asking for 75%. Nothing at all like an LSD.

That way we can go through discs and pads as fast as we go through tyres . . . . . as it uses the brakes to cut the power to the spinning wheel.

Its not mechanical its electronic so it will never be as effective as a proper LSD, but its certainly better at pulling the car back into line when chucked about on a wet roundabout than the earlier std e-diff.

An improvement over what they had but not a full lsd solution, merely mimics some of the effects.

Is limited experience going up and down a drag strip. ;)

Nope. Limited experience is driving a FL Cupra round some twisties ;)

It doesnt so much pull the car in as stop it from stepping out. Very different.
