Mk2 speedo/clocks

Can anyone confirm as to whether these clcoks will fit straight into a 8v gti?

Ad says mk2 but the dials look the same as the ones that were in my 2001 Leon Cupra, and its says mk2 but 99-02? Thought the mk3's started before 2002?

They are MK3 1.4 clocks, reason i know is because i have them in my MK3 1.4

whoever it is selling them has worded the sale as MK2 facelift probably meaning as it is on the continent (the Mk3 is widely called the mk2 facelift over on the mainland)
