MK3 ibiza servicing

I have just got myself a mk3 (2001 Y with 44k on the clock) seat ibiza cupra T (156bhp), I am geting the car serviced tomorrow and was wondering what is the best oil to use for the service? I am also getting the gearbox oil changed aswell, any ideas on the best gearbox oil for this car? The sparkplugs are also geting changed, I will in the future be geting this car revo'd or remapped, is it worth getting higher heat grade plugs for the higher boost etc? Any advise (particurlary on the engine oil type) would be a great help.

just ran a search then and it appears that vw synta gold 5-40w seems to be the best choice.

any ideas for the gearbox oil, or will standard oil be ok? what have you guys used in the past with your cupra's? (only reply if your gearbox is still ok!)
