Looking at buying a 2014-2016 FR in either the 2.0l diesel 150 bhp / 185 bop or 1.4 petrol engine, the decision will be swayed by MPG and so I’m wondering what people actually get out of these engines day to day.
I think this is the honest numbers...35-40 MPG - general door to door.
45-50 MPG - motorways.
25-30 MPG - leaving work on a Friday kinda driving.
Thank you for the responses everyone - test drove a few and decided on the 2.0 diesel 184 bhp model! Should be collecting tomorrow!
Never been a dirty diesel fan but great choice, all the best!
I’ve just spent 4 years in petrol Seat Ibiza and then Leon so will be a change but I’ll get over it
I'm sure once you plant your right foot and feel the torque from the 2.0 turbo diesel you'll get over it.
My 1.4 TSI ACT 2015 is averaging around 37mpg for daily drive which is small journeys of mixed rush hour commute.
On longer trips I have had low 40s but no better and never into 50s. Normally get 400-430 miles from a tank.
