mk3 smoothed boot questions

hmmmmm
well i was on ebay spotted this bargain so bid on it not thinking

first question he said its got a boot popper fitted but none of the ibiza range come with one anyone now different?

second with a popper the struts have to lift enough for u to get ur fingers under the edge
to life it on most cars well erm how am i gonna do that wen ibiza boots weigh a ton and
the struts are poo anybody got any ideas?

i can see me getting it fitted then popping it find that it just re catches or never lifts lol

The boot must have worked at one time, why not ask to buy the struts that are on that car because they might have been changed for stronger ones.
Also it looks like the boot lid is damaged in the one pic.
You could try just poping your std boot then see how far the lifters go on there own.

That boot looks really damaged where the spoiler has been pryed off! But when it pops it should give enough room to stick a digit in the gap and open it up, Jom do uprated lifters bur dunno if the do them for the mk3!

I have the back panel off my boot and it opens easily with just the mechanism. If you wired something to that which made it unlock the boot would uncatch easy and you could easily get a finger in the gap.
