mk4 coilovers

hey!
just was wanting some advice on coilovers for my 1.2 seat ibiza 6L! I have been offered a cheap set of coilovers that are off a mk4 polo. i have been told they should fitt my car!
Is this true?

You could fit them were the orginal suspension is, however I wouldnt

If they are MkIV then they will fit - same as Mk6 Polo (9N). What year is it?
