Hello,

I want to remove my front headlights from my Mk4 Ibiza FR (facelift version) and I believe I need to remove the front bumper before I do this.
Anyone done this before, if so how?

Lol front bumper...

You need to remove the little plastic bit next to the headlamp first, unscrew the 3 (i think) torque screws and the unit should slide forward.

Im sure you do have to remove it . As there is 2 Long torque bolts on the bottom of the light and 2 on top.

Is there not a guide on here ? as I seem to keep seeing this question pop up alot. if not ill just take pics and post one up seen as my cars in bits at the moment lol

You don't really need a guide, if you see a torx screw chances are it needs to come out :p Then it just lifts off.

Thought I might have to remove it, thanks for all the help had a lil look yesterday and does look simple enough for a simpleton like me to do. LOL.

Got the bumper off at the weekend, easier than expected but found the intercooler pipe to be leaking. I am in two minds to replace the clips that hold the pipe as this is what I was advised is the problem by my local dealer or just get a fmic??? Anyone recommend what I should do??

I've removed 5 screws in each wheel arch, 5 underneath, 4 on top and one behind each foglight grill. I have also disconnected the temp sensor so am I right thinking the bumper should just pull off? I can't get it to budge. Are there any plastic clips or any tips on how to remove it? I feel a dunce haha!

There are two more screws behind the centre grill. On the Cupra bumper, there is a large honeycomb hole so its easy to see where. Not so sure on the lower models

It's in Spanish, but I found this video to be the most useful - the stuff on English speaking forums isn't quite as helpful. It's a long time since I did any Spanish, but you will get the gist. A "tornillo" is a screw or bolt. The lad that posted this has done quite a few on other car maintenance topics too.
The site won't let me post the url so you will have to google "You tube" "SEAT ibiza" and "quitar defensa" or the author adrianalanis20000.
