My mate had an FR (before It died spectacularly!) and it wasnt going to keep up to my cupra even setting off first. Wouldnt say its slow, the DSG really helps it out. But you cant argue with an extra 30ish bhp and xx more torque

I dont see much difference in power from my FR compared to my mates cupra?!?!
Yes its slower but I wouldn't say its massively noticeable.

Agree the FR isn't slow its .3 seconds more to 62mph as standard than a cupra and haven driven the cupra and owning a new FR the difference is negligible and there both quite fast especially when mapped.

When mapped they should be running the same power. Its not .3 seconds slower. It is on paper. But on the road my cupra was 1.xseconds faster than its claimed time when standard

Yeah exactly the same engine so remaps the same as a vrs Fabian or the boc/cupra. Not sure why that is mate been playing around with mine and wasn't far behind the white cupra around here considering it had the extra bhp/torque? Wouldn't say a second but maybe not .3 either, bear in mind that's on a brand new engine and.tires so hasn't loosened up or worn the tires in properly as of yet.

Saving the pennies for a remap hopefully just before christmas :D Jabbasport quoted 210-220bhp :)

That's really quick as standard mate fair play :) *puts Willy away* lol. What did you use to record the time I'm interested in having a go :D won't be able to 100% boot it till I put 1,500/2,000 on the clock :( the engines are awesome though got to love them when they work, no issues *touch wood* puts my old DS3 to shame.

AN OBD reciver and an App called TOrque Pro. Runs off the info the cars ECU gets. Boost, coolant temps, timing advance and what ever else your ecu reads.

when mapped It ran a 5.6 on the app and a little later I did a slightly damp drag strip run with worse tyres and that was timed(by GTi inters) as 5.7 so i'd say its pretty accurate.

Now its got better rubber and lighter alloys on I reckon Im hoping it runs 5.5ish

Thanks for that mate I'll have a little look around to pick one up as it sounds really handy to have :).
That's made me want to get a remap even more, but I'll probably do suspension and brakes before that to handle the remaps power.

5.5 is chuffing quick love to see it in action :) congrats mate

I don't get how it can be so fast. Manufacturer claim 7.2

How is that launched? Foot on brake, build revs and then release brake? Or just stand still and floor accelerator?

No problem at all, its really handy, has helped my mates out when they have had a warning light come on ect. Remap is ace. after about 80 the standard car is lacking in pull, and it wont pull so well past 6500rpm, now its totally different. Brakes is a good call. Though I have given my car its hardest abuse this weekend and the brakes never faded or scared me.

I have a few vids on the 'tube. Will put em up.

Are you saying your car did that completely stock? With 180bhp and 183 torque?

Im saying my car did the 6.4 stock yes. Duno what bhp it was running but whatever it came out of the factory with.

Your Right my Fellow Tribu Friend [B)]

The 5.5 is after its been mapped
Right my Fellow non-Tribu Friend. Plus the better rubber and lightweight alloys. Though I have had no "official" or torque pro timed runs. I dont see why some better rubber and lighter alloys wouldnt take a little off the 0-60time.

Yet VW and Audi claim the a1 and the polo do 6.9. How can the exact same car have different times to the seat and the skoda variations of the car. Its simple, they make it have the times they want it to have. I belive manufactures usually do them with a full tank and 3 people in,for official ajdudication maybe?<hopelessly spelt

Here are a few vids(all mapped i think)

Click on tribucupras profile to see my other videos. Theres a dash video from when I got it mapped(standard alloys)

EDIT: as a note, mine is far from quickest on this site. theres plenty faster than mine!

the audi has more bhp.

the polo has better aero? less weight?

Between the Cupra and Boc it is just a matter of personal preference IMO. I saw a Boc first but I preferred the white stitching and gloss black trim in the Cupra to the red stitching and fake CF in the Boc, either way good luck with your search mate.
