It all comes down to personal preference in the end.
I prefered the way the Boc was styled with the black front end and red accents but I only ended up with one over a Cupra as I found a 2011 with sunroof, black roof, black wheels, seat spoiler and lowered so it looked the part straight from the forecort.
If I had found a Cupra with the same spec AND Bi-Xenons I may have gone the other way.
The Cupra is a lot cheaper to insure though. Im 23, 3 yr NCB and it was £460 as opposed to £650 odd for the Bocangera as it's 'limited' or some rubbish.
All in all though it's nice having a Bocanegra. A lot of people don't have a clue what it is and I've never had a bad comment about the pace or styling of the car.
The springs have ruined the ride though
The boc was mainly about the exclusivity of having a limited edition car for me. It was a choice between the boc and an identically spec'd tribu Cupra at my dealer and the boc won hands down
I do really like the Boc in white and the cupra in black lol, Just heard alot of problems about the gearboxes and apparently i need to make sure all the updates have been completed. I just dont want to buy a car and have the gearbox blow up on me in a couple of months time.
Not had a single problem with my gearbox mate. They do rattle a little bit but it is barely audible, the reason being that the 'un-engaged' clutch can rattle freely, if the 7 speed DSG gearbox had oil in like the 6 speed then I'm sure you would not be able to hear it at all.
Mines 59 plate, it does use oil but its well within the quoted figures in the handbook which can be up to 500ml per 1000km. Mine was first registered and owned by Seat UK as a demo vehicle so I'm pretty sure any initial problems were inspected and solved when they had it
Yeah I do want one but just don't want the dreaded problems that come with them. Might look for one with really low mileage and see if I can purchase extended warranty or something to be on the safe side.
