MK7 VW Golf seats fit MK3 Leon ?

Will the seats from a MK7 golf fit the Leon MK3?

Specifically the rear seats ? The seats on my SE have ripped and I’ve found some cloth ones from a 2016 Golf R from what I can see the method of attachment is the same mounting points etc but will anything else differentiate ?

Has anyone replaced like for like before ?

Yes they do! Leon MK3, Skoda Octavia mk3, Golf mk7 AND mk8 and Audi A3/S3/RS3 8V are all cross compatible in terms of size and mounting

That’s what I like to hear my SE rear seats ripped now you have given me an excuse to swap them with the MK7 Golf R seats I’ve got in the garage

Hi im thinking of changing my seats in my MK3.5 FR to mk8 seats how easy is it to change the wiring not done anything like this before is the only way to do it by soldering?

To be honest it's quite hard question that cannot be answered with simple "pretty easy". I've got tools, wiring diagrams and knowledge so for me it's probably a 1-hour job to do this with confidence that everything will work. If you don't have anyone to guide you how to do this (what tools to use, what kind of connectors do you need, what each wire does and where should it be repinned) then you should probably consider leaving it to some kind of professional.

I don't want to discourage you because everything that I know I found on the internet, but I don't want you to blame me for telling you it's easy job when you mess something up.

Can confirm that Skoda Octavia MK4 seats also fit in Leon3... Wiring - not so hard, just follow wiring diagrams from both cars and convert... For golf7 to leon3, it is possible that connector and wiring is same, but check it first, before plug in.
For example, I converted wiring and added extras like seat ventilation, rgb footwell lights and electric seats adjustment with memory, for this was need to pull extra wires from fuse box and BCM.
p.s. also Skoda Kodiaq seats fits, but seat itself it a little bit higher, therefore its not possible to lover it as low as original seat.

Hi, friend! Do you think the seats (full electro) from a Skoda Kodiaq 2 (MQB Evo platform) will fit in a Kodiaq 1 (MQB platform)? I'm sure they're the same mechanically, but the airbag connector will need to be re-pinned. I'm interested in the seat control unit MQB EVO; will it work in the MQB platform?

Yes, it should work... Octavia 4 seats also are MQB evo, and they work on MQB platform(in My Leon MK3)... Just need to do all coding responding to Your car, just MQB Evo have much more features which does not exist in MQB, and to avoid faults in controller You need to correct code it, but its simple thing.
Wiring must be checked for sure and repinned if needed. for Airbag, octavia had same airbag connector and pinout as kodiaq and leon.

p.s. I had kodiaq seats fitted in Leon MK3 before octavia seats too For octavia seats, as I have ventilated seats they have different "big" connectors.
