well 2 weeks ago today i had washed my motor and was putting away before i went away, however when swapping cars round i didn't see my position coming up the drive as i was trying not to run over a cat and cut the corner and damaged the paintwork

mostly the rear arch is scratched, got some of the door strip and handle as well but getting sorted tuesday at an expense i could do without. so plans for tinting and alloy refurb and colour change are on the back burner for the time being :(

Sue the cat.

cat has been put down since then, was getting old but at the end of the day it was my fault for not lining up on the driveway to start with as its quite tight

will just have to wait longer for those mods, however i don't think tinting is that expensive and its my birthday next month so i may still be able to do that. just annoying as i wanted that and the alloys doing for the national meet thats all

no i took it to a guy to look at and its taken the paint off so it can't be polished or t cut out

above is what the damage is, the yellow bits are the old paint off the gatepost. you can see the main damage on the arch and on the door, also there is the bit on the handle and continuing onto the strip on the door as well

mine looks same, a liitle worse possibly, and been there for a good 12months. keep it well polished and cleaned and no rust grown yet, but will do now in vengence me thinks
i asked lc charles in crewe and want 500 to sort, but no money at all.

With a bit of elbow grease, cutting compound and polish it'll look a lot better than it currently does. Add a splash of touch up too if necessary. ;)

I've used T cut (awaits to be flamed) no end of times to reduce the impact of deep lacquer scratches. Fill it in with some colour if its all the way through.

i need my cars to look spot on so its getting sorted on tuesday, i'd rather pay a bit more and get a quality job than get it done cheap and get a bad job

I did exactly the same to my car. Only got the rear wheel arch though. A mate was doing a repair on my sisters car for me the other day there and asked him for a price for mine- £110 cause he'd have to respray the whole panel. Gutter.

Here's my damage that cost £300 to fix

Out side the house never heard a thing.

Until a young lady knocked at the door, and asked if the Leon was my car, very apologetic got all her details, lives around the corner, wants to get it done by a local bodyshop my mate works at.

Faith in human nature is restored.

And yes she was fit ;)

No sorry, i have one imprinted in my brain though ;)

dam!! at least she came clean to doing the damage. had it happen to me with a escort i used to have. as with you was very sorry and she had the repairs sorted asap. then saying that had a hit and run on the leon. the transit won leaving me needing a new back bumper, rear door and quarter pannel. never managed to get the details! wasnt a happy chap.
