More dumb questions

Two questions this time

First off, under the filter neck for the windscreen wipers there's another filler cap with a green top. Can anyone tell me what it's for as I can't see anything for it in the handbook so far.

Second, when I put the car in reverse the heater fan appears to get louder, as if it's suddenly decided to either go faster or maybe recirculate instead. Anyone got any ideas why this could be?

First - Powersteering fluid reservoir.

Second - That's normal behavior for the car, not to sure why though

The Second is to stop the exhaust fumes entering into the cabin when reversing, it's just going into recirc mode.

Anyone worked out a way of getting the power steering fluid cap off? Not been able to check mine in 3 years because I can't get the little bugger off
