Have been driving to Stirling for years to use these as the Edinburgh dealer mentioned here is awful.
Morrisons have been good, well priced, decent courtesy cars and their work has always been done on time and reliable.
Worth the trip down the M9 all you fellow Edinburgers!!:D

haven't used them for servicing but i found the parts department to be a hit and a miss - sometimes they're very helpful and other times it'd be easier talking to a wall

i started to use fife seat over in glentrothes as the guys were far more helpful but it's a 75 mile round trip so started to get a bit pointless for bushes and discs etc

to be fair they have been a lot more helpful the last 2 times i've used them though

Hi there,

I have used both Seat garages (Stirling and Glenrothes) on a few occassions.
Both are ok. Problem is, they seem to be more interested in making money off you than being honest.
I often go to a garage knowing exactly what is wrong with my car and usually I am told a complete load of garbage.
Not naming anyone here, but I went knowing that all i needed was a temp sensor and brake pedal switch. Probs £30 tops for parts and fitting. They came back to me saying that I would need a diagnostics check (~£40) and the most likely culprate would be the fan assembly units (small and large one).
Funny enough, I just got new ones fitted a couple of months prior! And needless to say, they were wrong!

I have found that the MAJORITY of garages are all the same. I have been taking my car to Star Performance in dysart recently and they are fine.

Cheers,

Don't have my Ibiza anymore. But i used Morrisons a few times.Generally they were ok.Sometimes they were ace, others pretty poor.
Things they got wrong:

1)Failed to fit a fuel fliter(diesel) during service.I had to point it out to them.
2)Whilst waiting on car being serviced.Made to wait for hours with no explanation of hold up.
3)Rear locking mechanism greased.Shame about the huge amount of grease left to mess up the rest of my tailgate.
4)Car returned with dirty carpets.Unused(clean) spare taken out and obviously left in a pool of crap, then returned to boot.
5)Workshop comments virtually unreadable.Had to ask the service dept what they meant.
6)Charged for windscreen washer top up.I'd filled it beforehand. When asked why i was being charged for it.Replied'well, some was used during the service, when they were checking the wipers'.Sorry, but that's just bullshit.

Maybe they should just stick to Land/Range Rovers.I bet they get a better service.:censored:

I bought my current FR+ from their in 2006 it was the Principles wifes car. Good service always got given a courtesy car at service times I have no problems with them at all.

Since I bought the car Fife Seat in Glenrothes is closer and now does the service's on my car now. No complaints either and always get a courtesy car with the last one being a spanking new Exeo.

Both good garages which is unusual.
