MOT Tomorrow

I’ve got my Mot tomorrow guys, I always find myself getting a little nervous before my Mot as you never know what they might bring up ( well I don’t as I’m not too mechanically minded) Fingers Crossed it should pass, I mean the car has only done 6000 miles in the year.

I hope I’ve no surprises as I’d like to spend my money on a re-map and not Mot costs.

I’ll post again tomorrow with the out come.

Mine is being MoT'd as we speak. They were leniant (sp) on my German style plates, but they've found a puncture in the rea N/S tyre which needs fixing

Tax is up in 5 days as well

mine is due on teh 11th june and i got a blowing down pipe so am well worry tis going to fail, only had the exhaust 6 months too!

My MOT, Tax and Insurance all feel due end of June so i've decided to do the MOT a month early. And then only 6 months tax to brake up the costs next time.

and i forgot.

Service with a cambelt change will also be due end of June, early July.
Only got 39k on the clock but it's time to change it.

Ive just had to pay out for my car aswell, only advantage is im a technician so was much cheaper for repairs.

insurance, £1311
car tax (year), £180
service, £3.11 (for an oil filter i already had oil at work).
m.o.t, £19.99 (special on mot's thats customer rate too).
and k03s turbo fitted. (1 days holiday and a few cuts on my knuckles)

I really feel sorry for people who have to pay full for work on there cars as i know sometimes how easy and cheaply it is to do but still costs you lot a fortune.

Could you not use some gum gum or exhaust paste as a temp fix when it go`s for the MOT? thats assuming you know where abouts on the downpipe its blowing from.

Im not a tester so 1 of the lads tested it, i know it was going to pass because id serviced it and checked it over when i fitted the turbo. Ive just got timing belt and metal impeller water pump to fit before the remap.

I know people that could just stick a pass on it for a couple of quid, But id rather have my car inspected and know its road worthy and not in any dangerous condition.
