i have Motorway Lights ticked in the Lights menu in vehicle settings, don’t seem to be able to find out what it actually does.

I believe that above a certain speed, 50 or 60, the dipped beam raises slightly to increase the distance you can see. Can't say I've ever noticed it myself.

Thanks, can’t say I’ve noticed either

From the manual. Motorway Lights

● Activation: when going above 110 km/h (68.4 mph)
for more than 30 seconds, the dipped beam raises
slightly to increase the distance of visibility
of the driver.
● Deactivation: when reducing the speed of
the car below 100 km/h (62 mph), the dipped beam
returns to its normal position.

Only works if you have LED headlights. I did notice it on MK3 pre-facelift ones...but only when I dropped speed, not when I went past 68mph.
I believe the lights would raise about 3 or 5%. I only noticed it, because I suddenly had to stop quickly from a fast speed.
On the manual it states that, the beam would lower back to normal levels after you have gone under a certain speed for 30 or 60 secs (cant remember which). When I stopped, noticed the beam lowered a little...I thought it was autolevelling (like when you start) but no, it just went down a fraction, and never came up again.
