hmmm.. I asked my solicitor about that at the time of my divorce and she told me that the courts can take a dim view of you transferring assets

Karl, sorry to hear that mate, I've been there and gone through that 2 years ago, so if you want a chat sometime let me know......

il buy it for £100 , id sell it back for £100 when you can afford it

all the best tho, is she out to bleed u dry or can yoy make an agreement that she may want something ??

:D :D

I know the chances of us being at the same meet at the same time over the next few months are slim :( but I've heard so much from Loops about your car that I wanna at least sit in it before it goes. :D

Seems we both have some rough times ahead of us for different reasons so hang in there hun. It'll be worth it in the end...... (sits back and pictures the children working hard to support her retirement. ;))

considering what you would get for your LCR is it even worth it? i recently considered selling mine and getting something smaller so i could save more money, but the price id get for it is shocking! and id end up losing out more than what i could save. current market is f***ed. suppose a divorce kinda forces you too...
get £8000 now. I remember 6 months back when a nice 45k model could still fetch £9000, maybe more.

I still see some ultra low milers, under 30k fetching £8500 - £9000. I guess the car is just worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

**not sure what happened with the post above **

If you've got one with over 40k on in then you'll struggle to get £8000 it seems. I remember 6 months back when a nice 45k model could still fetch £9000, maybe more.

And you've made this same mistake twice! Your Mrs must have some hold over you.

1st time was to finance house move / relocation, but 4 months afterwards I realised I wasn't a DERV man and went and bought another LCR . If I'd had the good sense to do the tyres suspension first we may have been £450 a month better off and sat in a Leon today, but as we'd gone down to 1 car family wife just couldn't cope with the car in wet/damp.

i don't know if i can force myself to sell it. after i've spent all that money on it getting it serviced and other little bits and bobs done it means i'm getting even less for it. i think i might keep hold of it for a little while and see how the finances go.

Thats great news karl..see how things go and looking how the car market is at the moment might even cost you more to sell.
