MPG Guage after remap

Does anyone know if the MPG gauge will work accurately after a remap? Getting a stage 1 on Monday and just thought of this. I have a 2007 FR 2.0

I don't know how its calculated, I'm guessing the current mpg setting may work but not sure about miles to go etc.

Don't think it's ever that accurate to be honest. If you're worried about economy, tuning a car isn't for you.
