As i am not from uk,i read distance in my fr tdi 170ps on kilometres!
With a full tank i get about 600 to 800 km's.I mostly drive on motorway for 3/5 and urban driving 1/5.I have an extremely heavy right foot.
Is that what you all get from your cars?

Over the past 2500 miles, which has been a mix of motorway and town driving, according to the computer I have an average MPG of 36.8 !!! Not a patch on what I was expecting! Its not like I drive it really hard....

Ooh 36.8 dont sound too good! cant trust that trip computer though best way is to check fuel purchase against mileage.
The 2.0 TDI aint as economical at the 1.9 and the various posts on this forum seem to bear that out. At steady motorway speeds the diesel should be very good but as soon as you start driving it hard the economy goes to pot.

sod the econmomy just have fun, what's the point in having the Fr if you cant exercise that right foot! :)

Just bought a new 1.9 tdi and, although the engine is effectively running in, i'm getting about 47mpg mixed driving.

I expect that to go up nearer the advertised 58mpg as she beds in more, but at the mo I just love my new sleek black friend.

Might consider a re-map in the future but i'm concerned that the service will reveal it and affect the warranty. Anyone any experience of this?
