Im about ready for some discs and pads for my cupra, ive just found some drilled and grooved discs with pads for the front for £144 on ebay, does anybody know if these mtec brakes are any good or should I just put standard discs+pads on.
Cheers

Ive had mtec brakes on 2 cars now, both mine came with mintex pads and i found them very good for the price anyway.

i bought some mtec grooved discs and mintex pads from them on ebay for my old astra gsi i had,

the discs themselves were fine but the pads were pants (i did have 305/36- ftlb's of power mind)

if you do go for aftermarket discs go for grooved..............the last couple of times ive used drilled brake discs they've always cracked................grooved discs have always been fine for me! ( my mtec discs came with mintex pads by the way )

for the odd bit of fast road use/normal everyday driving then the mtec disc's/mintex pad combo will be fine,

they wont peform any better or worse than oem parts.............:mobile:

A member on here had them and they warped on the rears. Mtech we're a pita in replacing them apparently, and he ended up just having to buy another set
