Does anyone know if the rear bumper on the face lift fr is the same as the previous one in terms of fitting mudflaps because according to seat there are no rear flaps for any facelifted ibiza yt but if it's just a case of drilling a few holes in the wheels arch lining then that's OK.. Thanks for the help.

i have e mailed seat in the uk about this, the response was very poor, just saying it would be passed on to the relative department.
e mailing seat headquaters in spain was a little more helpful, in that they would look into it.

i have just fitted rear mudflaps to the new model fr [1.2tsi]
the top hole is in the correct position, the next one down is slightly off position, but a larger washer will grip the lip allright.
to attatch the bottom mounting, i drilled a small hole into the under edge of the bumber, and fixed it useing a small bolt.
result,a permanent solid job, with no visable signs of the bolt.

locate the top side screw first as this is in the correct position, do not tighten yet,
align the mud flap to its intended position, then fit the lower side screw, you will find that the screw hole in the actual mud flap is not in alignment, just put a large washer on the screw and tighten it up, this will grip the edge of the mud flap.
then tighten the top screw.

you will then have to drill a small hole, depending on the size of bolt you use, [i used a 5mm one] through the bumper lip from underneath, useing the mounting hole in the mud flap as guide.

2 months later, i recieved an e mail from my seat dealer informing me that seat acted upon this matter, and low and behold, they have produced the modified rear mudflaps for this model.
perhaps seat do listen to their customers after all!
