im looking to get a mufflerectomy on my leon does anyone know how much they cost and where i can get one from.
cheers

Any decent exhaust place could knock one up for you, all they need to do is bend some pipe and stick a tip on the end. I got mine second hand from someone on here and paid £40 (I think) for it, I would guess it would be around £60 or so to get one made. Unless of course you are lucky and find someone selling one second hand :)

well i have a seat sport exhaust already on it do u know if i can put it on that. also does it mess the car up in anyway and do you think it is worth it.
cheers

basically in a plain and siple explanation its a peice of pipe , no box section no muffler / baffling to keep noise levels down

so if they were to cut your sport exaust up , if you didnt like it it would be tuff,

i personally would get one made up , a peice of pipe and a tail pipe end of my choise , fit it , if i didnt like it , i got my exisiting one to replace ,

if that was butchered your fecked really

does that make senese to you

cheers

Nope it won't mess your car up in any way. I've had mine on for a good 9 months or so and zero problems. No problems come MOT time either, mine sailed through.

I think it's worth it, I noticed a slightly improved spool up time on the turbo and it makes a cool noise, check out the link in my sig there's a video in there :D

But why would you mess the old one up?

Surely just take the old one off and put a new custom section in it's place? You wouldn't chop the SEAT Sport exhaust up to remove the silencer part of it and put a piece of pipe in it's place, you would just replace the whole SEAT Sport section.

Mine is: downpipe to cat section, then all the way from the cat to the tip is a custom piece (made of 2 parts).
