MY 08reg MK2 Leon CUPRA

Hi all i want to start a tread on my new Cupra i purchased 4 weeks ago after selling my Stage 2 Mk1 leon Cupra R that i loved to bits made me move onto this MK2 and loving it even in standard form but lacking some excitment!. So il list what iv got planned for it iv had lots of help through reading other peoples progress and lots of great info to be had on this great forum so wanted to add something of my own for others to see,

My car is a 2008reg CUPRA factory K1 kit fitted 22,000miles (with standard exhaust in place) zenons and i think the rest is normal spec. i wasn't sure on the colour when i first viewed it but its really nice now and will look awesome on gloss black wheels,

plans are-

-KW coilovers (purchaed and sitting in my garage!)
-BlueFlame 3" Turbo back exhaust with sports cat (purchased not arrived yet!)went for the K1 centre exit so im having the rear bumper cut out and other exit sorted out so will be as it should of been!
-wheels Powder coated 'gloss' black
-15mm spacers fitted at rear wheels /
-Air intake (not sure what one yet?) whats peoples thoughts on Neuspeed P-flow?
-updated DV (seen a few with probs so il cover that base!)
-REVO remap at AMD
-ARB's pos just rear neuspeed

80% of that list will be done within the next 3 weeks so il update with pics and details all i can say is im looking forward to seeing what the MK2's can do!

Its booked in for a service got some FUCH's Pro Race oil for it so thats got to be done!

The colour seems an evolution of your MK1 colour, really nice.

What spec was your LCR Stage 2 and whats planned for the MK2?

Thanks for the comments love the colour don't see many? i do love the "metalic grey" colour and with gloss black wheels i think it will set it off and yes it needs the coiovers fitting asap!! can't stand it anymore, Just waiting for my TB exhaust to turn up then its going in for coilovers/exhaust fitting/service/revised DV and then pop down the AMD essex for a remap! inbetween all that il be having the rear bumper taken off an the original exhaust outlet plastic welded and the full bumper re sprayed.

After all this has been done im on the look out for a nice intake system,

Im then going to be adding other bits as i go! really loving the MK2 feels great to drive and refined but i do miss the punch of the mk1 (im sure the remap on the Mk2 will change my feeling!!)

The MK1 LCR had full blueflame TB exhaust,intake,forge front mount intercooler,forge DV coldside,stage 2 revo,then other bits like AP coilovers,front/rear anti roll bars,few other bits made it an awesome car! was mint just need to get the new one up to the same spec and more...

Love the colour, would be my second favourite after Candy White

Can't believe how high the car looks standard! I'm ashamed I drove around like that for a while lol.

As for your mods:

- Neuspeed Rear ARB if friggin awesome, really stiffens the car up, and decreases the roll.
- Coilies will add to the road holding - been thrashing mine tonight, and the only word that describes it now is 'tight'.
- Can't comment on the Neuspeed CAI, but the TwinTake has really improved the throttle response and low down grunt. I'm really happy with it to be fair.
- Just bought and fitted the uprated Revision D DV from Dave @ Sere Motors. My original valve had split so the new piston type really improves the way the car holds boost, an makes the on/off throttle response crisp. Bargain at £40 too!

Hilla-cheers mate,funny enough candy white was the colour 1st or 2nd on my list! but i found them just as hard to find! could of had a black one in a blink but held out for the colour i wanted!,

As for ride hight its not good!! thanks for the ever helpful feedback on what to get it helps!

tyrer-i had the BMC closed intake kit but changed for a large open cone K&N filter.

just sold my mk1, reg was LN54 XTV....so must of been pretty close to yours in the registration que!!

I had my car service today with some FUCH's pro race oil , and best of all had my KW Coilovers fitted so happy with them its at its lowest setting for these and im over the moon with the way it rides it is as smooth as standard but handles awesome! and looks awesome! can't use any other word really.

Its my Birthday tomorrow so iv got the day off so i will wash it and get some pictures up for you lot

I also had a card through the door telling me i missed a parcel im crossing my fingers that its the blueflame Turbo back system! (might just be a bday present! insted lol)

Wheels are booked in on tuesday for full gloss black powder coating! wheels spacers and few other bits will be orderd aswell!
