My car wont go into first gear???

MY CAR WONT GO INTO FIRST GEAR???

What the hell am i supposed to do? Why would this be? ..

This used to happen to my previous Ibiza, push clutch right in and keep trying to push it into 1st eventually it will! Will still be stiff for a few shifts! No idea what the fault is!! Mine was only 3 years old!

Ive just tried to push the clutch right in, it goes all the way back and still wont go into first.

All other gears are fine, just first? :\

If say my gearbox is nacked, how much we talking for a new one?

Similar happened on my 6 speed on my 1.9tdi. But I lost 2nd and reverse too. Probs a gear box refurb job to get anew selector in. I'm probs wrong , hopefully it's a cheap fix!

Unlikely that your gearbox is junked. As powerful as the 1.2 can be, even if you spent all day doing full throttle launches it still wouldn't muller 1st gear

I would guess it's just slipped out of adjustment on the cable change
