My CCV by-pass/ block off

What potential problems could I have with this set up?

1) Too small catch tank.
2) Blocked filter

loads of white whispy smoke started coming out of the breather filter today on the rolling road so took it off

That will be the water vapour that cannot escpae quickly enough out of the filter

So is there any point in this mod? And do you need to put a filter on the breather hose??
