hello mate, nice car. i'm just along the road from you. what brakes are those and is that red stuff pads.

Hey Jamie,

I got a set of Front discs and rear discs from ebay along with the Red Stuff pads for the rear only. I opted to stick with the Ferrodo DS2500 pads on the front.

I cannot fault the discs at all and they are deffo an improvement over the standard ones.

Fronts
Got these for £130 with a cheecky best offer.

Rears
Got these for £115 with another cheecky bid :D

Add £15 for combined postage and the total comes to £260. Not bad I thought for the setup.
Think he can also coat the discs in silver, gold or black for a small fee.
The seller is a nice guy too. He seemed very helpful whilst chatting on the phone.

Hope this helps,

P.s. Were abouts do you stay? I am digging ur profile pic, very nice car. :funk:

Hey,

Thanks. I actually got the mirrors as a gift last year.
I managed to find the box that they came in, so here is the product number.

Volkswagen Group, Silver Mirror Cap.

000 072 500

According to my parents, who kindly purchased them for me, they were ordered from a Volkswagen dealer and cost ~£40.

Cheers,

P.S. Sorry for the delay

That's where i got mine from, admittedly 312mm but they're not for an LCR and like you - i can't fault them!

yours is pretty powerfull though isn't it fester. cant argue for the money, i'd rather have had ferodo pads but i'll put them on when the reds are done, at that money its almost like getting new rear discs for free.

nah mate, i missed the courier yesterday and am waiting on them today now. i know people dont rate the red stuff pads but i'll see for myself, it was such a good deal that it was like getting rear grooved discs and pads for nothing, if the red stuff aren't any good i'll put ferodo's on the front, but to be honest i dont drive like a loony most of the time and don't do track days either so i'm sure they'll be fine for me, but it'll be ferodo's next before anyone jumps on me.
