Excellent review, very interested in your mods. I spent alot of time around the tog hill area and guessing it was filmed around JJ cash n carry Emerson Green?? .... I am not a stalker, lol.

We should hold a mini meet as there are a few MK3 Cupra's popping up, would be good to share knowledge etc....

Hi Happy Days yeah i am from Warmley area yeah dad the car for a while know and I am a regular to Castle Combe VAG and Forge days. My car is going to be replaced with an R in September as i am going for TTE 525r MRC maps etc but always up for a meetup.

Are you asking because you have a stage 1 and are thinking of going stage 2?

I have a manual with a stage 1 at 360bhp/360lbft and a bit of clutch slip in 5th and 6th - and occasionally in 4th. So before going stage 2, I need an uprated clutch.

Stage 1 is still mentally quick

Thanks for your reply. No i dont have a remap as yet.
I was asking because everyone that has remaped seems to be a dsg car!
And i was wondering how the clutch would hold out.
How bad is the slip ?
What map did you go for?
Have you got any acceleration videos atall?
Would be great to see.

Slip is not too bad. If I remembered to change down rather than ride the torque (@2.5-3.5K rpm), it probably wouldn't happen.

It's an APR S1Lo if I remember right. Will at VRS Northampton recommended a better intake pipe at the same time.

Hi Jason, Was looking at a Golf R but for my money I bought the Cupra. Will wait for some better weather and I will PM you if that's all good.
