My Leon misses the Summer...

The past couple of days I've driven away from home and a minute or so later my car is screaming at me and flashing a red light by the engine temp reading (which is showing cold, but usually is when engine just started no matter what time of year it is!). To solve this I just stop at a junction at end of my road, turn car off and then on again and it doesn't do it for rest of journey

Each morning it's been around 10 - 12 degrees, so it's not that cold, maybe my car's missing the summer sun?

I was just wondering if anyone has had anything similar and if I should be worried about it?

mine did that last week. i topped up the coolant level and it went

If its anything like a fr150 tdi try cleaning the 2 probes in the coolant header tank, I dont think you can get them out so you have to go in through the cap. All i did was scrape mine cos they had a rough build up/coating on the 2 probes. Its been fine since. I am sure that i have read threads on here about it. Hope its some help

Bingo, i have virtually no coolant!!! Bit strange though as was only serviced at start of July and coolant was fine then. Could I have a leak maybe?
