It's all pros and no cons with the derv! Cheap tax, cheaper insurance, better on fuel, more torque, easier to drive.

Hi and welcome to the fantastic world of 1.4 ownership haha .

Looks like a great base to start with and reminds me so much of my car before I started.

Basic and cheap mods I would start with would include some sort of stubby antena and wind deflectors. Both look really good and easy to install.

Thanks mate! All about the 1.4 power! Wind deflectors are a good shout il have to get searching on ebay unless you can recommend any? Im not sure about playing with the antenna yet I had a ***** fin one I fitted to my old pass at and the signal was terrible =(

Ok little update as I havnt been on all week, Iv got a few bit's from ebay this week all round xenon bulbs, cf final and tinting spray (they sent me 2 by accident =) ) so as I have a day off tomoro im going to get nice and busy!

Also just found some coilovers for £210 what are we saying? To be honest all I want to do is go lower and I can do that cheeper with springs but will that come back to bite me in the ass?

Will be updating with pictures tomorrow if all goes well

been nice and busy today in the sun! after a good wash and hoover i fitted all the xenon bulbs, vinyl wrapped the front and rear badges and tinted the rear lights

first the light tints:

and the viny:

they are not perfect by any means but i think they look pretty good for a first attempt

its to sunny for a good picture of the xenons at the moment (though im sure you all know what they look like!) il upload something later on

Yea that's deer for deflectors mine were only 27 I think. Good job on that mate but might need to redo the wrapping again in few months as might peel. Also Why didn't you just take light out lol

yeahhh i expect il have to do it again hopefully it will go better next time now i know a little bit more what im doing ha ha i was fighting with them for about half an hour on wed night trying to get them out had all the boot ligning pulled out and still no joy so thought id just spend a bit of time masking it up worked just as well.

had some LED's but they were a bit crappy so scene as i got some "xenon" ones with a set off ebay i thought id fit them but there brighter then stock but still very yellow so il invest in some nice shiney ones when i have my next ebay spree

Was quite easy to be honist mate, i tryed taking the lights out but after fighting with them for about 20 mins i thought it would be easyer to get busy with the masking tape it came out just as well im happy result

as for the tints themselves i did it with a spray from ebay called E-Teck smoke was about £5 took about half an hour to mask up the lights
