as stu is a bit slow updating his car made 447 bhp I believe but the cooler was holding it back abit so he is goin to do some head work so he can rev it abit harder and a better cooler and is goin for another mapping session to get it closer to the 500bhp mark
Can you go into more detail on this as I have just had my gtx mapped and struggled with heat to.
What intercooler heat soaking ? Mine had good iat's or is it oil temps ? Yeah it made 447 with a massive boost leak bought valves coming in 1 and a half weeks so I will do them and get a pro alloy intercooler then trailer it back down and be running 2bar at about 530bhp but I have a electronic boost controller so have 350ish daily.
I drove it once I welded my intercooler up and it was mental wrecked my bushes in two days lol about 10 pulls lol,
I will update once valves and intercooler up and running then hopefully break that 500bhp barrier.

Wow thats amazing power. I couldnt even imagine driving that. Its like a shoe box with 450bhp haha. Good to see graphs for spool etc.

Yeah it was good fun and it started becoming interesting at 4k but once it's starts to boost it goes from 10-30psi in no time it's soo aggressive and was hitting the rev limiter too easy, so I'm doing full suoertech valvetrain so I can rev to about 8200 make it a bit more useable

Sounds awesome going 1.9 suppose to bring the turbo in quicker by about 500rpm iirc which will be helping loads

Yeah it has made a differance and feels a little more torquey bottom end which helps on big turbo yeah just taking head off tonight and tomorrow I recon then wait for valves to turn up and the nice people at pro alloy to make my intercooler once I draw my one up and get it with a fatter core so I Defo know that it won't be a restriction when I finally take it back to get finished mapping
Sounds good fella my heads been done so revs further defiantly worth it with a bigger turbo. Are you not having gear based boost put on. And any chance of seeing a graph
It's going good the gear based boost makes the power so useable sitting at about 390 currently going back after some wmi as my car doesn't seem to like any timing ATM
Not bad you'll get a few more bhp from that then where can you get the methanol from round here ? Why don't it like any timing? Cylinder temps getting too high ? Yeah I bet it does I want to get wmi eventually as well but that has to go on a big list ATM haha
Hi mate, nah I haven't yet just building the head and spraying the engine bay ATM and re routing all the washer bottle and power steering bottle ect so it will look nice and clean going to do a few shows next year and after this mapping it should be 520bhp hopefully
