n75/mbc k04

to cut a long story short i got a k04 ibiza, got a n75j fitted, overboost 14psi tailling off to 10 or 11, i'm not happy with this so i bought a mbc to try, swapped it for the n75 but keeping the valve plugged in i get overboost 23psi tails off to about 16psi but hit limp mode sometimes, if i unplug the n75 and use just the mbc it runs lovely, feels how it should, but this cant be good for the car surley? its a new n75 but could it be faulty? the mbc is turned right down. the only other difference i've noticed is my car warms up quicker with the mbc fitted, takes about 20 mins to hit 90 degrees with the n75 but about 5 with the mbc, and it smells like its running richer, any advice would be mint, i dont have vagcom to check for fault codes unfortunatly

was guessing without vagcom could be a stab in the dark, with the map on there it should be similar to what im getting with the mbc connected, how dodgy is it to run my car without the n75 plugged in?

electrically plugged in but disconnected is ok.. keep within the bounds it was maped for boost wise
