need help coolant sensor fault

hi I posted yestaday about having problems with my seat leon fr , as I have now replaced both engine coolent temperature sensors 1 and 2 , the issue and codes went away from the car but after driving it ten miles or so the code is back and the problem with the car is back ? has anyone came across this before or know anythink what can help me thanks

what is the car doing ?

the code is 00280 from the versus pro (snap on)
engine coolant temperature sensor(g62) signal too high p0118 short with power intermitting
from live data the temp sender goes off totally. causing the car to surge, no lack of power though but using a lot more fuel. thanks

check the wiring from the temp sensor on the engine to the ecu
temp sensor g62 is the one fitted to the back of the cylinder head
