Recently brought some brand new alloys with new tyres and balanced now the problem is I'm starting to get vibration and a silent humming noise whether that's road noise or what, can anyone help me?

I'm not sure do they need to be expensive ones?

What sort of tyres? If they are winter ones you will get more noise. At what speed does it happen, is it constant, does it change when you go round bends etc. Are all the wheel nuts tight. Are the alloys the same fitment (size and ET) as your old ones ? What do you mean by "silent humming" ?

There not the same size I had standards on before, these are 17s I think lol and the noise sounds like a humming throughout the car if that helps?

Are they 18s or 17s then lol??

Bct? Never heard of them !!!

If you have 18" tyres on 17" rims they will make a bit of a noise......
BCT are a Chinese tyre company who apparently make copies of Hankook etc. reviews on net are, ahem, shite, they appear to be well known for an inability to balance. That and falling apart.

Not sure about the vibrating, but it sounds like your describing increased tyre road noise from the lower profile 18" tyre.

18" tyres on 17" rims will fall off, won't they? I assume a tyre place wouldn't fit the incorrect tyre size anyway...

I've never heard of BCT either, sounds like they're crap though. Probably just bought really bad tyres then!
